The EYYES turning assistant is open for future applications
Additional functions planned
The TIC Box also represents the future-proof central control unit for the intelligent exterior mirrors, which can optionally provide the drivers with a range of additional safety and comfort functions.
THE TURNING ASSISTANT FOR THE FRONT AREA
monitors the area of the front right corner of the vehicle at a distance of 10m from the front and 3m to the side. It is activated when cornering is detected with the turn signal activated or not activated, or when driving straight ahead with the turn signal activated.
The REVERSE ASSISTANT
monitors the area up to 5m away from the rear of the vehicle. The activation takes place with the engagement of the reverse gear and a distance between 0.2m and 2m to an obstacle. In addition, if a monitor is available, the image from the rear camera is displayed.
The CITY COLLISION ASSISTANT monitors the area up to 20m in front of the vehicle and the side area of up to 2.5m.
Activation takes place in the speed range from 0 to 50 km / h and a time to collision of less than 2.6 seconds.
The LANE CHANGE ASSIST detects a critical approach of a vehicle behind you on a misaligned lane and warns the driver if the turn signals are not set. If the turn signal is active, a higher warning level is activated and the driver is clearly informed about the dangerous situation.
The SPEED ASSIST
recognizes road signs and reads the indicated limit, which is shown in the top right corner of the monitor.
If the detected speed limit is exceeded, a signal tone is emitted and the overlay starts to flash.
CARGO MONITORING can be carried out on parked vehicles, for example, for breaks, activated and monitored the left and right area of the vehicle up to a distance of 1m. People who approach the vehicle, for example to steal the cargo, are recognized and signaling is triggered.
